Moda Luanda 2014 is about to rock the citizens of Luanda with a fashion show featuring almost every designer who is of importance in the country.

Luanda, the capital of Angola, has given birth to many top black models across Europe and America, including last year’s most sought-after black model Maria Borges. Despite that, its fashion industry has been one of the most neglected in respect to the fast-growing African nations. But recent events seem to be overturning this reality, such as this.

Moda Luanda 2014 will take place on both the 21st and 22nd of February at the Bay of Luanda. The runway will feature the following Angolan designer brands: Yadi Toys, Elisabeth Santos, C&O Fashion, Helenize Guimarães, Mara Ramos, Irmãs Nunes, Geraldo Fashions, Porcelana Collection, Vera Freitas, A’Frock, Fiu Negru, Melimar, Tina Souvenir, Marith Jóia, Me Sente de Avelino Nascimento, Uver de Zona 5, Edson Cláudio, Soraya da Piedade, African Destiny by Bizare, Allex Kangala and Nadir Tati.
