This year’s edition will feature the participation of designers from Ivory Coast, Togo, Senegal and the Central African Republic. As an initiative of the Association of Designers for Development, the event will be held under the theme Enhancing African textile for the fulfillment of artisans. The itinerary includes an exhibition sale, artist performances, fashion shows and a certificate of recognition award. MAIMA is also being presented as aiming to cover Burkina Faso, Africa and the world and make African textile the most popular worldwide, the organizers added.
