The judgement and voting to select the winner for FashionGHANA Honours & Awards will be constructed via 3 categories. The first section will be via public voting, the second will be by the FashionGHANA.com team, and the third section will be by professional individuals that will be outlined for each category below. Read below to see the break down of each segment.

PUBLIC VOTING 25%
Public voting begins on the 26th of February 2019. We would love to constitute our voting online via facebook or instagram, unfortunately due to the various methods, tools and techniques capable of achieving fake likes and comments on social media, our only and safest way to ensure a genuine voting process is via online accounts on the website. It will be tedious, it will be a little irritating but it’s the most essential way to ensure your nominee receive the public’s vote with in the most genuine way. To avoid cheating via website by false email accounts or hiding ip, voting will constitute of a registration process.

Step 1/ If you are on a laptop view the top right option on the website that states ‘Sign in/Join’. If you are on a mobile phone click the menu option on the top left to find the ‘Sign In/Join’ option and click on it.
Step 2/ If you have an account with FashionGHANA.com, click sign in and simply log in. If you don’t click join, enter your name and email, and confirm your registration by visiting your email and clicking the confirmation link sent to your email account.
Step 3/ Once you are logged in visit this page (www.FashionGHANA.com/Awards), Select VOTE HERE (available from 26th February 2019) and vote for your preferred nominee.

The judgement by our staff will constitute of 15 percent of a nominees score. This will constitute of the nominees efforts in their line of work solely pertaining to activities executed from February 2018 to February 2019. Areas of consideration will fall in the fields of branding, public presence, as well as judging by their activities and/or talents in relation to international standards.

JUDGES %60
Each field will have judges aligned to set the major score. These are individuals that are related clients, beneficiaries or professional overseers of the service or talents rendered by the field. Judges will selected carefully to not have previous relations with shortlisted nominees, and will be revealed before the show.

– Judges for ALL model categories will constitute of designers and photographers
– Judges for Best Dressed Celebrities Will Constitute of Blogger
– Judges for All Designer Categories Will Constitute of Buyers & Stylists
– Judges for Photographers Will Constitute of Editors
– Judges for Make Up Will Constitute of Photographers

All judges will be asked to carefully review the nominees strictly based on the periods from February 2018 – February 2019. Judges will be asked to review nominees based on their related experience in their industry as well as their social media platforms, website, google and general presentation across the whole year.

TOTAL
Score counts will be strictly mathematical and made visible to nominees at the requests only after the event. Judges total scores maybe unveiled if requested, but individual judges scores will not.

ETHICS
We would like all nominees and supporters and fans to respect that awards are simply ceremonies to recognize talent and hardwork of various individuals in a certain field during a certain period. Any individuals that wins an award over anther doesn’t imply they are better or will be more successful in the near future, it only means that by the subjective opinion of a said number of human beings they have outperformed others within that field in the year ending. We will kindly ask all nominees and their supporters to not get over emotional over the awards, learn to respect their comrades, and understand that each and every nominees is hardworking and also feels entitled to recognition. We will ask that nominees acknowledge their standing position as a nominees already as an achievement being the top 6 of a very well competitive industry and for this one day in our careers we take it to appreciate ourselves and our competitors alongside our fans. Thank you!

The long-awaited inaugural edition of the FashionGHANA Honours & Awards (also known as #FGHA) was executed at the Chilly Rainy season edition of Accra Fashion Week 2018 sponsored by Tree of Life Ghana. The event saw in attendance celebrities such as Elikem The Tailor, Benny Blanco, Salma Mumin and more.

The objective of the awards was to acknowledge great talents in the Ghanaian fashion industry from models to school, to designers and more. The organizers believe it will motivate talent in the Ghanaian fashion industry and inspire a host of new creatives to aim higher. FashionGHANA also aims to give extensive support to all winners of each category.

FashionGHANA Honours & Awards once again will be hosted in Accra Fashion Week in 2019 before becoming it’s own entity in 2020 where it aims to provide standards such as that of the VGMAs. See the full list of winner below.
