Established in 1987 in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the company remains family-owned and is proudly led by three generations of women. Recently, Matersol unveiled its latest collection at “MFW Ela Move,” a dynamic event organized by Mozambique Fashion Week. The gathering was a celebration of empowered women, creativity, and social progress. Held at the prestigious Hotel Polana, the networking night featured an impressive lineup of designers such as Sónia Sultuane, Cuccla, Mabenna, and Shaazia Adam.

The bikini collection presented by Matersol used Sônia Sultuane’s painting titled “Fragile,” which infused the designs with a unique artistic essence. In addition to the inspiration behind the collection, Sultuane also designed the jewelry showcased alongside the swimwear. Her artistic influence brought a rich layer of meaning and visual storytelling to the presentation, adding depth to the fusion of fashion and art.

The event aimed to inspire and promote women’s artistic expression, featuring pop-ups and showcases from visual artists including Lara Freitas and Amirah Adam. Celebrating both heritage and future-forward thinking, “Ela Move” was a fusion of fashion, art, and purpose—a movement that echoed the strength and beauty of women everywhere.
