There has been a sudden stream of Michael Jackson’s acknowledgments on social media platforms. MJ was a legendary American singer, songwriter, dancer, and philanthropist. Popularly referred to as the “King of Pop”, he is regarded as the most significant cultural figure of the 20th century.
The singer is believed to have been assassinated over his rights of ownership as he made it clear in a speech that Sony Music was trying to kill him, however, news media reported differently. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office released a statement saying the late King of Pop died because of acute propofol intoxication. The office cited the benzodiazepine effect as another condition contributing to his death. Propofol and lorazepam were cited as the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s death.
American rapper Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known professionally as Offset from the group Migos decided to pay tribute to the legend, by performing in his iconic outfit. Takeoff Decided to pay tribute to the legend by rocking an emulation of his iconic striped embroidered jacket.
The musician took to his Instagram and published the images in a post of slides and captioned “Showing you in real time…I’m Him”3
