VIDEO: Pharrell Applauded For Handling PETA Protestor & Heckler At His Toronto Biopic Premiere

Pharrell Williams was met with an unexpected interruption during the premiere of his Lego biopic, *Piece by Piece*, at the Toronto International Film Festival. A PETA activist stormed the stage, passionately protesting his Louis Vuitton designs, accusing him of supporting animal cruelty through the use of fur in his collections as creative director of the brand.

The protestor loudly called out, “Pharrell, stop torturing animals!” while holding a sign that read, “Pharrell: Stop Supporting Killing Animals for Fashion.” Pharrell, however, handled the situation with grace, responding calmly, “You’re right, you’re right, God bless you, it’s OK.” He even encouraged the audience to applaud the protestor as she was escorted out.

Addressing the concerns raised, Pharrell revealed that he’s been actively working towards change. “Rome wasn’t made in a day,” he told the audience, explaining that he’s holding talks to shift practices and make progress on animal rights within the fashion world.
