In most cases when we write about how essential it is for our musicians to support our brands many people see it as we are simply pestering the creatives about their personal choices, and pushing them to simply make a single 100ghs spending in one direction and not the other.

But it is far more than that and once understood as a society we will also grasp the essence of this importance. Being able to influence culture is technically being able to influence the economy. We as Ghanaians can not consistently complain about how government handles our economy by selling out our country if we live our lives as such.

We work 24/7 only to spend our money on foreign clothes, placing our money in the hands of people who are not buying products from us. Meaning our money goes in one direction and that direction is outside of Ghana. When major influencers like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale or Sarkodie are able to push the narrative of rocking our stylish designs made by Ghanaian creatives, the amount of money going out of Ghana is decreased when a culture is built around it. That money then lightens up the weight of a tough economy and reinvested into pushing the same narrative.

Two highly respectable artist doing so already that many are aware of is Okyeame Kwame and Manifest. However, many might not know it but so is Stonebwoy!

Stone Bwoy has embraced many local designer talents it’s uncountable, you will have to be fairly deep into knowing these brands to be aware he has been making such moves. So we thought to run through his timeline and splash it on our audience to show you how fabulous Ghana’s award winning Dancehall artists is ‘LITERALLY’ in support of the ‘Ghetto Youts’ and not just fantasizing about it in lyrics.
