Accra Fashion Week is set for an explosive event that could possible make it the hall mark of African fashion in 2020. The event scheduled to take place from 25th-30th March 2020 across Accra city and will witness leading Ghanaian fashion brands such as Mish Mega, Akinko Lifestyle, Afre Anko, Clavon Leonard (USA), Sluu by Sluvin, Oh Sixty6 (South Africa), to name a few, and bring the fiercest display on fashion onto the runway.
This year the event will merge itself with the official FashionGHANA Honours & Awards 2020 where many talents in the fashion industry will be awarded and honoured for showing excellence in their unique fields and strengthening the fashion industry.
Accra Fashion Week will also be making it’s #SHOPTHERUNWAY initiative a heavy instrument in the orchestration of the event. Organisers believe it is paramount that spectators and supporters of Ghanaian fashion also need to work to turn their support into sales for the designers, but even more so, designers need to work to make their items much more appealing to the international fashion market.
Although Accra Fashion Week began in 2016, this year will mark it’s 7th event holding 7 straight successful events in the space of 4 years. This will be acknowledged and celebrated with many local and international guests from the fashion industry as well as a few international celebrities soon to be revealed. Nominations for the FashionGHANA Honours & Awards can be executed at www.FashionGHANA.com/nominations and interested participants of the fashion week can find more on www.AccraFashionWeek.org.
