Adut Akech Bior is a South Sudanese-Australian model. Akech made her fashion week runway debut as an exclusive in the Saint Laurent S/S 17 show and went on to close both their F/W 17 and S/S 18 shows as an exclusive.
Akech was introduced to the fashion industry by her family, and despite getting scouted multiple times by local modeling agencies when she was 13 and 14 years old, she started her modeling career at 16 years old.
She then signed to her mother agency, Chadwick Models, in Sydney, Australia. Within the fashion industry, she prefers her birth name, Adut.
Her career took off when she was spotted by Naomi Campbell who then elevated her career as you can read below.

Adut, who was a refugee before moving to Australia has always cherished her experience and before the age of 20 she even bought her mum a house. Most will recall she recently got married to Nigerian singer RunTown.
It seems the marriage is what climax the media and news coverage of the superstar for 2020 in a very drastic year. Well, 2021 holds more brightness and positivity and it seems like Italian brand Versace just got lucky and struck a deal with Adut.

Versace has not wasted any second to capture this market by modifying it’s marketing campaigns to be more exclusive of black models, being a tad bit smarter than its odd racist peers.
