For the beauty of the week, we bring to you the beautiful instagram model, Anyang Deng. Anyang Deng is a South Sudanese human ‘barbie doll’ that has captured the internet because of her full-of-melanin skin and melow pretty face.

Anyang, who resides in Australia, has been a motivator in pride for having pride and flaunting ones dark skin. She has been on the receiving end of insults and abuse by internet users for encouraging black girls to be positive about their skin. According to the online news outlet, iHarere, Anyang once shared a picture with his family with whom she lived in Australia with the caption: “I bet you ain’t never seen a better-looking family”.

The ‘Black Barbie Doll’ together with colleague model Nyakim Gatwech were both encouraged to bleach their skin but refused to, and they are now internet sensations simply because of not falling into peer pressure.

Anyang, who has around 148,000 followers, made a video tweet in which she was in a beautiful white dinner dress and captioned: “it’s the goddess energy for me”. The tweet has so far received 22 million views and 1.6 million comments.

The video tweet has attracted attacks from various corners of the world with one tweep boldly commenting: “She’s black as shit” to which Deng replied with “Well yeah I come from South Sudan, which is home to the TALLEST and DARKEST people in the world. Leave me alone you colorists.”

Fans, meanwhile, are eager to see Deng on the runway as she hasn’t made a decision to either push her modeling to that area.
