Finding a perfect shade of foundation can be hectic, Foundation is without a doubt the most anxiety-inducing product in our makeup bags. Unlike an eyeliner, when smudged can be smoky, if a foundation is done wrong, there’s no hiding the mistake.
According to a new study commissioned by “Makeup Forever” through the research firm The NPD Group, a whopping 73 percent of women admit that finding the right foundation is a challenge. Despite the rows and rows of foundation shades that line shelves at stores, 54 percent of women say finding their color match is their number one issue, and 62 percent have problems applying foundation correctly.
Step 1: Find your perfect Color
Test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight. The color is correct if it disappears without blending
Step 2:Using a base -Primer
Creating a base for your make-up is key to a flawless finish. Primer is a skippable step unless your makeup has to last through a late night. The primer keeps make-up in place for a longer time.
Step 3: Application process
The way you apply foundation makes a big difference. The best technique is to blend thin layers into the skin, If you want just a little coverage, use your fingers, pros advise. For more coverage, use a beauty blender cosmetic sponge. Start with your nose, working out to the edges of your face, blending into the hairline which will help achieve a much more natural finish.
Step 4:Concealer and touch finishes
Look for a lightweight liquid in a color one shade lighter than your skin, cover the darkest under-eye circles. Conceal imperfections the foundation didn’t cover. Dust on or set with a little bit of powder to keep it in place. And there you have it, your perfect flawless make-up!
