Radio presenter took to instagram to send more heat and call for a boycott of Marwako restaurant. Last week the superviser Jihad Chaaban, The Lebanese national, who is a Supervisor at the Abelemkpe branch of the Marwako Restaurant, is said to have grabbed the head of his Ghanaian female staff and dipped her face in blended pepper.

Jihad who is currently on bail, was processed for court on Tuesday [March 7, 2017], for the police to present the facts of the case, but the process was deferred because the Abeka Magistrate Court did not sit.

Popular style personality and radio presenter Berla Mundi took to her instragram to express distress and has called for a boycott of Marwaka in angst of foreigners mistreating Ghanaian employees. Read below.

She stated “This is what happens when as a nation, we have made the ‘white man or foreigner’ superior…. They come in here and act anyway they want because the laws don’t work…. Imagine if this happened in another country that is run by laws and not some hungry officials who only think of how much money they can pocket or how they can stash their accounts with ‘papers’ whiles their people lay vulnerable and suffer at the hands of some unscrupulous human beings…. This must stop… No matter what wrong she did, forcing her face into a bowl of grounded pepper is beyond barbaric. I hear he has apologized. Well that’s not enough. He needs to be taught to respect people regardless of their status… This is our country, not theirs!!!!!!! I hope the ministry takes this up. Only God knows what others go through ….. #boycottmawako”
