Step Aside, There’s A New Queen In Town! Meet Carol Zinsu The New Face Of Accra Fashion Week 2022

To date, Face of Accra Fashion Week has proven to be the most successful model competition in Ghana, despite being a sub-event to Ghana’s biggest fashion event, Accra Fashion Week. Models discovered by the competition have graced many of the country’s biggest shows and runways.

Former winners such as Grace Quaye have also worked with foreign brands such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Off White, Alexandre McQueen, and more.

The competition has run for 6 years discovering its 6th winner in 2022. However, the competition took a turn this year. Alternating it’s approach from allowing any aspiring model to enter, the organizer hand-picked and scouted 15 potential models which then went through intense catwalk training. After trials and tribulations, this was then filtered down to the top 6 contestants who also got the chance to walk during Accra Fashion Week.

Amongst the 6 finalists, one girl emerged as the winner, and she goes by the name Carol Zinsu. Carol had always dreamed to walk the runways of Accra Fashion Week and prove herself to the international market. The 22-year-old is a professional typist based in Accra and has been modeling for roughly 3 years now. View her competition below…

Carol didn’t expect to win as she had prepared herself to come second another contestant by the name of Wassila had this to say when asked how it feels to carry the title “Amazing! it’s not easy to be in a competition with 5 amazing and beautiful models, I’m just happy I won i now know all my hard work and determination worked”
