Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 248 A lot of changes have been implemented to the Lagos Fashion and Design Week. Firstly, the name has been officially changed to Lagos Fashion Week Nigeria. Secondly, the event is a bit different from last year’s gallery-inspired walk-through. The event is bigger – a presentation – with models, at some point, walking in-between the audience, creating a heightened level of intimacy. The Lagos Fashion Week A/W 2018/2019 presentation ran from 23rd to 25th of March 2018 at The Wings, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island. The event saw some of Nigeria’s elite league of style enthusiasts in attendance from Stephanie Coker to Ozinna and her mother, Nkiru Anumudu. Here’s a rundown of the designers at the event. Style Temple stayed true to her aesthetics with a combination of structure and fluidity. Sisiano surprised with an elevated take on his usual style and Re giving a new take clean lines. Day 3 Maxivive opened the show with strong designs and an incredible presentation. Sunny Rose stuck with familiar shapes and colours. Emmy Kasbit is becoming a force. Showing a collection with depth and an understanding of the thin line between art and commerce. Onalaja closed the show in all-black mostly evening clothes.
