cocoA lot of people are going fetish for coconut oil these days.Whether you have natural, relaxed, big curls or short hair, coconut oil will give your hair the much-needed TLC it deserves. It is indeed a blessing for hair and is extremely effective for all hair types.

It is derived from mature fruits of coconut trees. Generally, it‘s used either externally and internally, for healthy food, ideal skin and other benefits.

This oil contains beneficial vitamin E,lauric acid and capric acid which are known to replenish dry strands, thirsty scalp and have high moisture retention for a healthier hair.  Now these are our 7 reasons to use/treat your hair with coconut oil-

  • Coconut oil stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles. As a result, the hair shafts are filled up and given more body which makes Your hair looks denser and fuller.
  • Coconut oil has antibacterial properties and nutrients, responsible for ideal hair and scalp protection from insect bites, lice, dandruff, bacteria, protozoan and viral infections.
  • Coconut oil moisturizes dry hair.Coconut oil has a high moisture retaining capacity, since it is not easily broken down nor evaporated, being very stable. It does not let moisture escape, thus keeping hair moist and soft, which prevents breakage of hair.
  • Coconut oil tames frizzy hair, adds luster, shine and softness to the hair.
  • Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributing to hair length.
  • Coconut oil slows down hair loss and beneficial for preventing baldness and grey hair.
  • Coconut oil treatment significantly reduces  protein loss from either damaged or undamaged hair. Researchers have discovered that it is the only oil to provide such a reduction.

Apart from the uses of coconut oil listed above, it is important to keep hair clean, eat well, use good hair grooming products that have minimal side effects and use a good comb that does not break or damage the hair.Enjoy a happy Hair!

hi, have been natural for a year and a half now and I can testify to the amazing growth I have achieved by using coconut oil. I always wanted someone to get the miracle of using coconut oil across and thankfully you have done that for me…I love fashion Ghana

I have been natural for over 10 years now, but I ALWAYS hated cutting or trimming my hair. Why? Well, because it took so gosh darn long to grow back :'( In addition, I had terrible split ends and it was dry and brittle, breaking off waaaay too easily. THEN, I started using coconut oil on my hair shafts. I have yet to really use it on my scalp, but it has completely replaced ALL MY HAIR PRODUCTS!! I shampoo with Carol’s Daughter shampoos and then condition with “the miracle” that is organic coconut oil :) No more curl defining this or moisture locking that… ONLY coconut oil! I also use it on my skin and drink about a table spoon of it a day, so maybe the combination of everything helps, too, but I will NEVER stop using it now that I know how awesome it is! The level of moisture, softness, LENGTH (It grew 6 inches in 4 months!!), manageability, body, thickness and all around “awesome” that my hair has suddenly manifested is unbelievable! I highly suggest anyone who is not allergic to tree nuts (my daughter is…ultra sad face) to try organic coconut oil before giving up on finding the right way to nourish their amazing, natural hair texture. You will not regret it AND you will save quite a bit of money searching for something “just right” for your hair ;)
