Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 250 Once upon a time, there was a vacuum of real documentation of fashion in Africa, where 99% of what was being blogged under the banner of African fashion was literally anything with print, or any mainstream designer from the west with African origins. Without any idea of what would be soon popular or not, we began with a passion to ensure that the real credits to African fashion is giving to the creatives and culture Here in Africa. We began documenting and researching designers and fashion activities from across the African continent. In the era of limited social media (although better now) this was almost impossible. Fast forward until today we have embarked on a success and appreciation of fashion documenting we never thought will ever exist in the fashion world of Africa, inspired many blogs and given much light many foreign media of who is who in Africa and what goes on here. As it goes now FashionGHANA magazine stands amongst the top 10 influential social media platform in Ghana. Why this could mean well goes as follows. Unlike fashion and social awards in Ghana where a group of people may sit down and discuss which of their best friends should be awarded with very little merits, cliqafrica.com constructed a method not only by which they calculate you social media following, but your actual impressions and reach and interactions via facebook and google producing the results as seen before. So what does this mean for fashion in Ghana? Well notice that with the right push, and with the right platform FashionGHANA is capable of standing next to platform that pump heavy money in advertising, such as MTN, the TV networks and more. Notice that FashionGHANA is also shoulder to shoulder with platforms that cover issues from politics, to sports, to entertainment, which in the usual sense should blow an ONLY Fashion media out of the water. However that is not the case. In fact the only other unique category platform is GhanaMusic.com. Another point to note, is that Fashion GHANA has not paid a penny for advertising on social media (which might change this year), and yet it still remains amongst the said platforms. This is an indication to inspire the world that our creativity within the terms of fashion is much more desired that we think or the government has ever taken note of. People from all over the world visit fashion ghana to know what is going on with our designers, our events and more, so much so they don’t care about other happenings they would rather visit a fashion only website than scroll through Ghanaian celebrities and politics. It’s definitely a positive and enlightening feeling and we are more than glad to be part of the push for Fashion in Ghana. We definitely have a lot to celebration at this years Accra Fashion Week 2017. And we hope you continue to share your fashion stories with us. 1/ Citi 97.3 FM 2/ Joy 99.7 FM 3/ Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd 4/ GhanaNdwon 5/ MTN Ghana 6/ Viasat 1 Ghana 7/ Airtel Ghana 8/ JoyNews 9/ Fáshion Ghana Magaziné 10/ Adom TV 11/ com.gh 12/ Vodafone Ghana 13/ Daily Graphic 14/ Com.GH 15/ Tigo Ghana 16/ Nhyira 104.5 FM 17/ OMG Voice 18/ GhanaMusic.Com 19/ Y 107.9 FM 20/ UTV Ghana See More Look Books Here.
