One of East Africa’s much antipated fashion night, Festival of African Fashion & Arts, popularly known as FAFA will not be taking place in 2013. Publicity already began for the popular Kenyan based fashion show that has seen a host of international designers from around the world, but the organizers release a press acknowledging that the event will not hold this year.
The notice recently posted on their facebook stated…
“FAFA GALA NIGHT FASHION SHOW will not be happening this year as we had planned before. We have pushed the date and event to next year in March 2014 on the 29th. But instead we have :
1 Nov: Designer Masterclass at MJ for designers, fashion professionals, media & those interested in learning more about PR. Courses will be about PR – how to present your work, how to present yourself on media & how to work it for your brand!
29th March: Fashion for Peace Gala Dinner & Fashion Show at the Nairobi Arboretum. Tickets 6,000 KES (70 USD) & 8,000 (95 USD) for the front 2 rows of seating.”
Despite the show is 6 months away, the organizers are not neglecting the opportunity to sell tickets. Unfortunately, this delay is a set back for eager fashion followers, however it could also be a sign for a more promising result.
