The management team revealed that the event can only get bigger because Accra Fashion Week is rooted heavily in the Ghana fashion industry, and that it’s growth is paramount to the growth of the fashion industry in Ghana. There has been gradual progress within the fashion week each event and each season, however the management feels there is a lingering problem over the Ghanaian fashion industry which is slowly changing but not fully eliminated, where we have not been valuing our own brands to the extent we should. “Although, Accra Fashion Week seems to be making a clear apparent change and we feel next year in 2019 is the best time to pull all our efforts and set the nation on fire with the amazing designers that will be featured on the runway. Our aim is not to put the most creative or celebrity based designers on the runway, but the designers that will make you say, ‘I would love to wear that today, and that’s what we have been doing for the past few years. However 2019 seems like we are ready to go all the way and make the connection, hence the subtitle SHOPTHERUNWAY Part 2” All updated will be published on the main website www.AccraFashionWeek.org Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail Nana Tamakloe Founder of FashionGHANA.com and Accra Fashion Week.
