Gambia Fashion Week Kicks Off Today…In A Few Hours!!

Not long ago was Fashion Weekend Gambia which went fairly well, today 19th February 2013 is about to witness the grand opening and first day of Gambia Fashion Week for 2013 at the Duplex Night club. The event organized by Aysha Jones Ceesay made a great amount of noise and will be commencing their event during the club night hours.

Today, showcasing designers are Ehab Al Ali fr Dubai (he has been seen in Cannes film festival, Stockholm fashion week etc) showing his couture collection. For his show he has teamed up with the African dance and drum group berewuleng, they will open his show and the music will all be African djembe and the drummers song.

Models were selected from the agency Glamourous Models Africa soon to transform into Rare Models Africa which will be made public after the the Fashion Week.

Also, all shows are taking place in Duplex. The venue most popularly known for most of Gambia’s Fashion activities.
Makeup & hair is made by Matafs Hair Studios for all shows. Photography will be executed by Gambians known photographers Emma Burendhal & Oscar Gettman.
