Despite November being the top month of fashion across the whole of Africa and should be the scheduled plan for fashion weeks in Africa, some of its magic has spilt over into December as far as Ghana is concerned.
To start of with, one must get to know about Oil City Fashion Week or Weekend. This will be taking place on the 27th/28th and seems quite promising. The team organised an Oil City Fashion Week earlier this year which seem pretty good for a first time event. However, with the selection of designers and models being targeted this year, it is certified to be a great experience.
The great factor is that it will not be in Accra like usual fashion events, it will hold in the city of Takoradi at the Best Western Atlantic Hotel. Hence the title Oil City. The event is set to host some prominent designer names as well as some great underground talent, which you can be sure will be confirmed first here.
AFRICAN FASHION MARKET
Another event to watch out for which is just around the corner is the African Fashion Market. We are uncertain what to expect with the exception that it will be an exhibition with fashion retailers at Labone in Twist / Headlines Hospitality.
Last but not least is the FASHIONgh Weekend which will take place on the 21st of December 2013, which will feature a runway show with Sa4a, Abrantie and Selina Beb. For full details on all event click here.
