Ghanaian Eyewear Company, Bôhten Receives Huge Investment from Mizizi Africa Consumer Holdings

Bôhten, an African-inspired and eco-friendly eyewear brand, announced today that it has received a strategic investment from Mizizi Africa Consumer Holdings (MACH). The funding will support Bôhten’s investments in design, production, distribution, and marketing on its way to becoming a global leader in the eyewear industry.

Bôhten was founded with a mission to provide designer quality prescription eyewear and sunglasses produced sustainably in Africa. The Company serves consumers primarily through their e-commerce platform and has retail relationships in North America, Europe and West Africa.

Bôhten eyewear, headquartered in Toronto, Canada and Accra, Ghana, produces African-inspired and eco-friendly eyewear. Bôhten currently sells through their e-commerce platform and across over 50 independent eyewear retailers across North America, Europe, and West Africa.

Mizizi Africa Consumer Holdings (“MACH”) is a house of African-inspired lifestyle brands that serves consumers across the world. MACH provides patient, long-term capital, management support and a shared pool of resources to young, African-inspired challenger brands.
