Angola’s number one designer Soraya De Piedade is set to make her first appearance in Ghana for Accra Fashion Week. The Angolan designer who has held the title as the best designer from the nation is also a two time ‘Designer Of The Year’ at the Golden Globes Awards for both 2015 and 2019.
In Africa, the fashion world is divided amongst three speaking languages, Angolphone, Francophone and then the Portuguese. Soraya De Piedade international popularity extends through mainly the Portuguese speaking nations but has also gained many admirers from other parts of Africa.
The designer was recently announced to participate in West Africa’s largest fashion ceremony, Accra Fashion Week where she will display her latest collection.

International celebrity designer and Angolas number 1 fashion brand @sorayadapiedade is set to showcase at @AccraFashionWeek. She launched her brand in 2010 after graduating in Entrepreneurial Business Management and Fashion Design. Soraya won her first award at the Fashion Stylist Award in 2012. The veteran designer has participated in Curitiba Fashion Week Angola Fashion Week, and recently represented Angola at Africa Fashion Week London in London. She was recognized as the Golden Globe Award Fashion Designer of the Year in 2015 and 2019.
