As you know, there is always an intriguing sense of fashion displayed at international beauty pageants. A broad variation of cultural elegance and tradition., as part of the Miss West Africa media partner team, was honoured to have witnessed this live on the night of 23rd March 2013, in Cape Verde Praia.

Below are some stunning outfits. We hope you see the magic in them as we saw when the beauties were dancing to their traditional music in them.

In no particular order of favorites  we start with the tropical exotic outfit by Miss West Africa Guinea, who goes by the name of Aicha Sacko. She enlightened everybody with a smile to die for, and the outfit was just fantastic.

Fatoumatta Kijera, a beautiful model from Gambia, comes out in pure royalty  Gambian fashion, with beautiful hints of ancient Egyptian style (in my view). Perfect for a modern day Cleopatra. Pure royalty.

Youma Sall, a top model from Senegal, did not fail to impress us as Miss West Africa Senegal. The way she rocked the traditional dress made me question why Bubu’s and Kaftans are not commonly worn by women evening occasions. Love it…again and again!
