I came across this on the Peace Fm website, enjoy….
It was all fun and fashion affair when the Exopa Modeling Agency and Runway Events last Sunday June 30, paraded some of Ghana’s sexiest plus size models as part of its exciting L-Fashion Nite modelling event.
Models took turns on the runway to showcase various designs by some of the nation’s topmost designers.
On the runway were works by Djem’elle Designs, Nenewaa clothing, B’venaj, Morel Kollections and Allan Davids Collection. There were also amazing styles by Curvy Woman Collection, Hats & Fascinators by Anthea O, Nallem Clothing and Jay Ray Designs.
Exciting musical performances by Fishbone, Legacy and a dance act by Shidaa dance group took place at the event.
The programme was packed with a lot fashion and modelling enthusiasts.
Media icon Abeiku Santana was a special guest at the event and he brought some excitement to the show with some jokes.
In a short speech, he congratulated Exopa and Runway Events for coming up with a show to give confidence to plus size ladies who wanted to model. Pledging his support, he encouraged the organizers to keep organizing the show.
The L-Fashion Nite was introduced in 2008 and staged yearly to bring some innovations into Ghana’s fashion industry whilst promoting African fabrics.
It is also aimed at introducing new trends onto the runway and helping to nurture plump models interested in a modelling career. It has since been a platform for boosting the confidence level of the plus size model.
