According to StarrFM, Hilda Akua Frimpong, a Ghanaian model and beauty pageant titleholder did not win the crown by merit other contestants have alleged. According to one of the contestants, Yaa Gyamfi, a pediatric nurse who said she sacrificed a lot financially to join the concert, alleged Hilda paid her way to the top.

Not sure how valid these are but the whole country is talking about these alleged fraudulent activities behind Roberta Annan PR, the organization behind Miss Universe Ghana. The saddest part about this all is that there will be a discussion on the news, there will be media talks, but when the Miss Universe pageant begins, every one returns back to supporting this mockery, and when the next Miss Universe Ghana auditions open, girls will stick flock to the competition. And then it’s back to business as usual, just like how things are going now with Miss Ghana. It’s almost like it never happened.
