The first in the series is the uniquely designed ‘Buy One Get One Free’ (BOGOF) sale on MAKSI’s previous collections where for every item bought from its women’s wear range, another of the same value or less is given absolutely free. This BOGOF event takes place on Saturday 30th November at WINGLOW, 13 Mensah Wood Road, East Legon.
On the 7th of December, Abynnah Sekyiamah, MAKSI’s Head of Creative Concepts hosts a ‘Charity Closet Sale edited by Style Plus Fashionista’ at Q’ticules, 7 Volta Street, Airport Residential Area. For this event some of Accra’s most fashionable people open their closets to Abynnah, gifting some of their most loved items for a sale benefiting the Autisim Awareness Care and Training Centre (AACT).
This event is sponsored by Purple Media and Papa’s Pizza Ghana so you know that there will be lots of delicious yummy slices of pizza, chicken wings and cheesy bread available for guests. The shopping and styling sessions culminate in a Christmas pop up in collaboration with Horseman Shoes at the African Regent Hotel from the 19th of December right through to the 2nd of January.
Mrs Serwah Quaynor speaking about the ‘Charity Closet Sale edited by Style Plus Fashionista’ said, “I am very grateful that Abynnah had this innovative idea of holding a benefit charity closet sale for AACT. I will encourage everyone to support this event, and help us continue to support autistic children and their parents in Ghana”.
Abynnah Sekyiamah, Head of Creative Concepts for MAKSI states, “ I believe fashion should also have a social conscience which is why I chose to organize the Charity Closet sale. This also fits in with the ethos of my fashion label MAKSI. We believe in giving back, and this gifting also benefits our customers, which is why from time to time we organize sales such as the Buy One Get One Free event taking place on the 30th. I have to mention that some individuals and companies have been very supportive of our efforts to give back to our customers and charities. This includes Purple Media and Papa’s Pizza, and I am very grateful for their consistent support”.
