At this rate, anyone who raps or is a celebrity from USA gets access to Ghana’s president Nana Akufo Addo. The latest celebrity to join this is none other but Meek Mills who visited Ghana to perform at the just-ended Afronation.
For those who don’t know, Meek Mills whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams is an American rapper born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he embarked on his music career as a battle rapper and later formed a short-lived rap group, The Bloodhoundz. In 2008, Atlanta-based rapper T.I. signed Meek Mill to his first record deal.
For the most part, his music has been dominated by gang and street life lyrics until he was given a second chance and escaped a life sentence after Jay Z spent huge sums of money on his legal fees. He later started a project alongside Jay Z that works to release inmates from prison for harmless, or inaccurate reasons.
Meek Mill had the opportunity to meet with GHana’s president Nana Akufo Addo today 31st December 2022, where he shared his experience after being arrested and jailed, and the course of action he took preceding these events.
