Accra Fashion Week 2020/21 Summer Harmattan just ended this December gone. The virtual show made a revolution in Africa by being the first of it’s kind to go virtual.
One thing we can take away from the event is African print may not have fully run it’s course yet. Not that there is anything to indicate that, but in the case that it was out of your fashion season you may need to relook it over.
Mikoko Deluxe is a new fashion brand hailing from Ghana Accra and totally blew minds away with its astonishing show during Accra Fashion Week.
There is no doubt that the world was granted the opportunity to witness the best models strut amongst the top brands that the republic of Ghana had to offer. However Mikoko Deluxe brought a collection that should not be over looked.
Mikoko Deluxe Presented Its Breath Taking Cherise Collection
The brand introduced it’s ‘Cherise’ collection delivering the African print fashion flavour, all whilst staying away from wax print cloth.
Mikoko Deluxe delivered astonishing prints with the use of Silk and Chiffon, their outfits were styled with beautiful fringed face masks and fascinators, whilst top Ghanaian model strutted with fans to compliment their cool persona.
The introduction of silk African print to the new wave of African trendy styles was one that was unimaginable.
Silk African prints have been in the market for some time, however to apply to modern trends as opposed to that of couture or customized African look was astonishing.
The pieces were jaw dropping and you can watch it right below courtesy of Accra Fashion Week.
