KiDi’s ‘Say Cheese’ challenge seems to be the latest TikTok jam, and it’s not surprising why. Catchy lyrics, requesting the listener to ‘say cheese’ and ‘take a picture’, and most of all Afrobeats which is the new trending genre.

KiDi aka Dennis Nana Dwamena, is a Ghanaian high-life and afrobeats singer-songwriter. He is signed to Lynx Entertainment and is best known for his hit single Odo.

However, unfortunately, with the #SayCheeseChallenge there doesn’t seem to be any uniform challenge, it just seems to be various lovers of the song having it played in the background.

Some of us here in Ghana may have overlooked the track when it was released last week, this is because the singer and songwriter was caught up in controversy after arriving late on a radio station for the second consecutive time, where he got kicked out and humiliated live on social media.

The ‘Say Cheese’ song emphasizes on a man caught up in a long-distance relationship requesting his faraway love to take a picture and we assume send it to him.

The video sees KiDi homebound in his room with various social media personalities snapping pictures of themselves. Despite the song not really having an active challenge, it is definitely making its rounds on social media influencers pages. Watch the video below and see results of the #SayCheeseChallenge herehere.
