Nigerian Designer Maki Oh @ Celebration of Design with Michelle Obama, Naomi Campbell & More in the White House

On Wednesday 8th October 2014, Nigerian Designer Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh was invited by the First Lady of United States of America, Michelle Obama to join some of Michelle’s favorite designers at the 2014 ‘Celebration of Design‘ cocktail event at The White House.

 
At the evening reception, Amaka wore a piece from her latest Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection paired with her signature beehive wrap, black heels and a small patent clutch.

At the reception Maki mingled with fashionable personalities like Supermodel Naomi Campbell, Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles, Designer Duro Olowu, Designer Humberto Leon of Kenzo as well as a few of her relatives.
