Style was definitely in tact at the AFF Retreat Arrival dinner. But before we get into that, let’s give a little break down of what happened. AFF is the African Fashion Foundation, an organization run by Roberta Annan that invests and funds upcoming fashion projects and talents mainly in Ghana (or atleast for now).
Last weekend, the organization held a fashion retreat for industry participants across the continent, inviting guests from Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Nigeria and more. The aim of the retreat was to focus on the theme “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚’𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲”.
The event hosted Discussions focused on the need to forge real links in Africa’s creative industry, the strategic role of Development Finance Institutions within the sector and the need to drive the sustainability agenda.
Amongst the various activities, an arrival dinner was organised to welcome the foreign guests and within it was a red carpet session. Check out how the fashionistas turned up!
