Alicia Keys again is trending once again with her new fabulous hairdo, a style that made it’s peak in 2017 in some very interesting viral images, the beaded braids. However, the US based international celebrity is not the only vocalist that is rocking the look. Two of Ghana’s top Ghanaian vocalists, MzVee the the award winning stylish celebrity of the year Adina Thembi have also been causing a buzz with the new look.

Beaded braids are simply decorated plats, but with beads there is a strong sense of Afrocentrity to the look. A little bit far fetched from the odd ‘SexSinger’. What’s a sex singer you may ask? Your Cardi Bs, Wendy Shay’s etc. In order words, singers that might not make headlines if they didn’t put sexuality ahead of the music.

You won’t find this look on those types. In reality, the beaded braids does represent some sort of maturity or an African progressive mind state. So although it is a coincidence all the three beauties happened to be rocking these at similar times, it is no surprise. See them below.
