Ghanaian’s fashion brands, Pistis GH, took to the streets of ‘Kayeye’ at the Madina Market to give out 1,000 face masks to head porters.
This decision was taken following observations by the company that the head-porters do not adhere to the Covid-19 safety protocols including wearing of nose masks especially when carrying out their activities.
The donation is part of the company’s Covid-19 contribution where for every nose mask the company sells, one is given to the less-privileged.
Actress and broadcaster Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku assisted Pistis GH in carrying out the donation. She encouraged all the market folks to endeavor to stick to the Covid-19 safety protocols.
To avoid crowding Pistis Gh gave out the masks in batches. The company is hoping to make more donations.
Queen mother of the Kayaye at the market, Rubaba acknowledged that education was low concerning Covid-19 at the market.
She promised to continue to admonish the Kayaye to wear the nose masks at all time whiles thanking Pistis GH for the donation and education.
