Television Presenter, Stylist, Model, and all-round fashionista, Lydia Lharley Lartey has become a popular name over the years now. Lharley is admired by most social media users due to her stunning and gorgeous way of advertising herself. Her beauty and class in the numerous photos she has modelled in is unprecedented as she is undoubtedly one of Ghana's most popular photo and fashion models.

Lharley appeared on the scene as a style influencer and photo model with her short hair look giving her that photogenic identity. Though some times she is seen wearing wig caps, and yes that is one advantage of short hair, she still manages to keep the short hair game one of her signature. Looking through most celebrities, just a few have these kinds of short hair look. Most of them prefer to put on wigs or braid their hair. Just the likes of songstress Adina, MzGee, and Actress Fella Makafui are the celebrities to have stylishly rock their short consistently by either colouring it or finger waving it.

However, despite other celebrities already executing finger waves, we only just began to see the influence on society after the social media star Lharley donned the hairdo. Let’s not be mistaken, finger waves being done for years amongst African Americans, one very popular RnB group by the name of Zhane had the hairstyle trending over 30 years ago.

It seems in these growing times of style, it is not enough to just have short hair without styling it to look like the star lady you truly are. Short hair can be less costly and other times expensive to do depending on the kind of styling you want. If you truly want to add some elegance and chic to your look then finger waves might be best way to go about it.

Women across ages, races, and countries all have this wonderful relationship with their hair. For some, our identity is tied to our hair or some feature of it, be it the length, color or texture. But there are different reasons why a person will choose to have her hair cut rather than keeping it. Therefore if you are looking for a short hair inspiration look, Larley is the person to look up to because she does it best.

Will the finger wave hair trend be one of many options for ladies or will we see a trend kick off? Share your thoughts in the comments!

For now, check out more images of Lharley executing the hairdo fabulously and see other fashionistas recently spotted on instagram with the finger waves hairstyles.
