Noami Campbell recently took to social media to share her pictures with Ghanaian president Nana Akufo Addo, where the president seemed more than thrilled to meet the legendary Naomi Campbell. The last time pictures of Naomi Campbell surfaces with an African president was during the Charles Tailor trial.
However, despite the storm she soared through continuing her fashion activism, paving a wider way for black models, all whilst still modelling on the same platforms as todays top models. Did we forget she recently hit the runway for Arise Fashion Week in Nigeria. Yup?
This all took place in London where the Ghanaian president was on holiday after taking heat from the Ghanaian public for allowing USA to build military bases and train troop in Ghana in what local and international critics have described as a dodgy and short end deal for Ghana.
Nevertheless, whilst on holiday, a special London dinner in honour of Ghana’s president, Nana Akuffo-Addo was organised and saw Several top UK celebrities, including rapper Stormzy, Edward Enniful, Afua Hirsch, and model Naomi Campbell.
Hosted by world renowned architect, David Adjaye, the event proved a momentous opportunity for these influencers across various spectrum of society to interact with Nana Addo, exchanging ideas on a number of issues ultimately targeted at a better Ghana.
