Not long ago, rumors spread about Reggie Rockstone in relation to Michael Jackson. The rumors outlined that Reggie Rockstone claims he taught Micheal Jackson how to moonwalk, one of the legendary artist’s most popular moves on a stage that set the whole world on fire.
Reggie Rockstone is a Ghanaian rapper. He was born in the United Kingdom but lived his early years in Kumasi and Accra. He has been living in Ghana continuously since he pioneered the Hip-Life movement in 1994.
Back on the matter at hand, Reggie Rockstone never claimed he taught Michael Jackson how to moonwalk, instead, he stated that he was moonwalking before Michael Jackson ever did prior to the story being twisted.
This was not the first time Reggie Rockstone made a claim that the general Ghanaian public found hard to swallow. Previously he had claimed his father was the founder of the ripped jeans fashion style which we documented here.
Some people also argue that he wasn’t the founder of the popular Ghanaian genre, Hip Life, which he claims he is. So stating he was moonwalking before Michael Jackson was really a make-or-break claim. Is he joking or is he becoming of age?
For the past few days, many bloggers took to their platforms and on social media to slander and mock the jovial entrepreneur. Leaving him no option but to go on TV and make his claims international.
Had he not been able to prove it, the world would have taken this and all his previous claims as false allegations, and if he did prove himself right, he could literally say he stopped world war 2 and Ghanaians will bow in respect.
So he took it to TV. According to Reggie Rockstone, his exact words were he was walking before Michael Jackson, this is because the originator of the moonwalk, which was originally called the backslide was created by a man called Jeffory Daniels.
Jeffrey Glenn Daniel is an American dancer, singer-songwriter, and choreographer, most notable for being a founding member of the R&B vocal group Shalamar. In Nigeria, he is best known as a former Idol series judge.
But Reggie was not just talking he actually took his argument to TV with visuals and proved his claims right.
