Michael Owusu Addo known professionally as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur from Tema. His contributions to the Ghanaian music industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade”.
This morning he took to Instagram to announce his latest fashion product, which happened to be the ‘Obidi Sunglasses’. This was unveiled as a little bit of a shock as the well-branded Sarkodie clothing line went under the name of Sark clothing, so it was only right people would expect the sunglasses to be presented under the same brand.
Sark Was Not For Sark
What most people don’t know is Sark wasn’t the official owner of Sark clothing but a paid face, and the brand items were owned and managed by a middle eastern lady commonly known as Yas. That also answers the question as to why he was limited with his support towards the brand. See the launch below.
However, it is definitely a new day, and the musician announced the newly-launched “Obidi Sunglasses’ were being sold for a whopping 200ghs, 20 times the price of the common sunglasses in town.
He captions a post on instagram served with a slide of images “Y’all seen me rock it a couple times NOW you can get it too “OBIDI” Sunglasses by @railsoflondon @trendyrail www.railsoflondon.com”.

But No Need To Stress About The Price Because….
Unfortunately, if you didn’t manage to get your hands on any then bad luck, these bad boys sold out in less than 10 hours. Sarkodie took to his facebook an hour ago (upon publishing this article) to announce the 200ghs pair of sunglasses has already sold out.
