Powerful women who made the list are “women of power in Africa who differ in politics, business, strategic thinking and fashion”. Most of them come from English-speaking countries in Africa with the exception of Isabel dos Santos, daughter of Angolan President and Adama Ndiaye Paris, who bears the flag of Senegal.
Adama “Paris” Ndiaye, 36 is a stylist Senegalese diplomat’s daughter who studied economics at Paris-Dauphine. 12 years back, she founded Dakar Fashion Week, and has been organising Black Fashion Week event in Paris, Bahia, Montreal Prague and Geneva since 2010.
It includes Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma – South Africa, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf – Liberia, Louise Mushikiwabo – Rwanda, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala – Nigeria, Folorunsho Alakija – Nigeria, Bridgette Radebe – South Africa, Dambisa Moyo – Zambia and Ory Okolloh who’s the head of Google Africa.
