As Hamamat continues to explore her ambassador tour in Senegal, she seems to have stumbled upon another act that has social media going crazy.
The African cultural fanatic seemed to have found herself in the Senegalese town names Foudiougne, where she had a chance of meeting a very old elder acknowledged as Queen Mother according to Hamamat.
Senegalese Elder Let’s One Off In Hamamat’s Afro
In a video published by Hamamat, she and others gathered around the Senegalese Elder as she swarmed through Hamamat’s hair. At which point the elder spat into Hamamat’s hair.
The act wasn’t committed with any malicious intent, however Hamamat failed to explain in her caption why she was spat on.
Hamamat captioned the video as below.
I met the Queen mother and oldest woman is the Sippo village – she was a young girl when the first white settlers came to Senegal 🇸🇳
She told us an amazing story of how she helped birth their children and then asked us to bow for blessings in a very interesting way .
It was never easy to fight for her people as a woman but she did and never gave up .
Senegal is a beautiful place with deep rich culture and it was such an honor to meet this woman who has been the Queen mother for generations.
Reason Remains Unclear
The video is not to clear if it was something other than saliva, nor did Hamamat explain the purpose of the act, but you can watch it below here.
Hamamat seems to have devoted a good amount of time on her social media going back and forth with those that don’t understand the cultural merits behind this, especially westerners, why she would allow someone to spit on her.
Hamamat’s trip to Senegal seems to be exciting her followers more than her time in her native country. It was only a week or so ago when she was spotted walking with lions. The video went so viral even American actress Viola Davis published it.

Ghana’s leading fashion event Accra Fashion Week is scheduled for 7-11 December 2022 following their 5th-year celebration last year in 2021. Accra Fashion Week is a platform for African designers that can be compared to fashion weeks across the major capitals. It aims to fill the void which sees tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an operating fashion infrastructure.
The epic event took place at Ghana Dubai in Accra, and saw models march down the steps from the Kwame Nkrumah Monument whilst being followed by a spotlight, before circulating the central fountains. Memories of the exciting night still give chills as guests revisit the experience on youtube.
However, rest assured that 2022 is going to be even more exciting with greater performances and an upgraded designer collection. FashionGHANA.com is sure to bring you the exclusives we did on www.FashionGHANA.com/TV. All last year’s shows are available to watch on youtube.
