The 11th annual global Champagne Day is October 23. This year, with unexpected challenges and hardships around the world, even the smallest moments in life are a cause for celebration. Champagne Day is a worldwide virtual event, which began in 2009 as the brainchild of Californian blogger and wine trainer Chris Oggenfuss.

Eleven years later, the event is stronger than ever thanks to worldwide participation, at least 30 million strong in 2019. In 2020, connecting with others – even virtually – has become more important than ever. Champagne Day is an opportunity to join a global community of Champagne lovers and treat oneself to the sparkling wine that only comes from Champagne, France. 

With these years celebration centering on virtual two of the most well respected media personalities who have made names for themselves in South-Africa Boitumelo Thulo known professionally as Boity and Maps Maponyane decided to join world wine lovers to commemorate World Champagne Day. The two superstars took to their various microblogging site Instagram where they blessed fans with their jaw dropping fashion statements.
