Yesterday was one of Africa’s youngest nation South Sudan independence day. The young country gained independence on July 9, 2011. USIP monitored the developments preceding and following this dramatic event. In January 2011, southern Sudan voted for independence through a referendum.

Most other African nationalities will take to wearing clothes that are in sync with their nations’ flags, or share pictures with them at tourist sites and so forth. However, the women of South Sudan took a twist to celebrate their independence by creating a storm of extraordinary beauty on Twitter.

This storm really showed that South Sudanese women are definitely the most gorgeous women on the continent, however, what was embarrassing was the extraordinary amount of weave flaunted by these women.
