I finally decided to do a research and find out what makes my skin smooth and flawless because my friends and little cousins are always commenting on my skin when i cuddle them

” you have a smooth skin Maame”

“Why don’t you have pimples?” etc.

The most interesting part is when i tell people to guess my age, they always give me a number 3-5 years below my actual age. I kept thinking and pondering about the things i must be doing right that is yielding me this good skin and helping me stay extra young apart from the good genes(lol).

I don’t spend much time on body creams and pomades because I’m “the just use it” if it doesn’t bleach kind of girl. These products range from Shea butter to Avon body musk to anything i find in my aunties room. After walking back from my regular joint(where they sell coconut)  i decided to Google and do a research about coconut water because i drink it 4 days out of 7, and there it was! the magic for my smooth skin and face.

Apart from coconut water being used for weight loss because it contains low-calories and a great way to stay hydrated all day long it has other beauty benefits as explained below

According to Allison Martin on lifehack coconut water is for –

PICTURE PERFECT SKIN

For those with acne or other blemishes on the surface of the skin, topical application of coconut water can go a great distance as it has the ability to clear up and subsequently tone the skin. It also moisturizes the skin from within if ingested orally and eliminates large amounts of oil. This explains why products such as facial creams, shampoos, conditioners and lotions that contain traces of coconut extract are more effective.

CONTAINS CYTOKININS

Cytokinins are little-known, yet highly beneficial compounds found in coconut water. Science has confirmed that cytokinins slow down the development of cancerous cells, plus they slow down the AGING PROCESS. What’s not to love, right?

ANTIOXIDANTS

Coconut water contains a lot of antioxidants, which help prevent the damage to our bodies caused by free radicals. Free radicals are produced by your own metabolism, so there’s no other way to neutralize the damage, except making sure you consume enough antioxidants in your diet. And coconut water can help you with that.

I have now made up my mind to buy coconut water instead of buying industry produced juices and drinks in other to stay young and have a flawless skin all day, everyday. I hope you do the same.

Thank you for your article on coconut water and how it helps the skin looking young. I tried to drink it after going to the gym everyday, but honestly only do it once or twice a week but now I’ll try to do it 5 times a week. Thank you
