Nigeria’s legendary singer Tiwa Savage, who goes by the real name Tiwatope Savage, is currently mourning the loss of her father.
The singer, songwriter, and actress only recently dropped her worldwide sensational album titled ‘Water & Garri’ filled with club hits and beautiful ballads proved that Nigeria has soul. She also featured RnB legend Brandy in her recent release music video ‘
On Another Note, Mr Savage Passes Away
However, it hasn’t been all roses for Tiwa Savage as she recently lost her father and took to Instagram to announce the news. The 41-year old songstress said he died early hours of Monday.
She stated “Early hours of this morning you made a peaceful transition” the singer hinted that he had been ill for a while. “You fought till the very end, you really fought daddy, it’s been rough for you these past couple of years but you are resting now.”
Tiwa Makes His Funeral Stylnificent
Tiwa grew up with her parents in Isale Eko before relocating to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. It is a very sad moment for the singer to lose her father, but most importantly he lived to see her doing well.
Mr Savage was blessed with a 2-day burial service, and trust Tiwa Savage to make it a spectacular moment. She rolled up to the funeral in a Rolls Royce, draped in a gorgeous navy blue embellished Ankara dress as seen below.

Uyo Fashion Week 2022 & SME Bazaar and Fair is a week long event that brings together elements of education, entertainment, and capacity building, using fashion as the driver.
