Linfra Ghana Ltd as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility for 2020 has partnered with former Gh model Victoria Michael’s ‘Fashion Connect Africa‘ 1 Million Masks project, to provide nose masks and food items for the underserved in the Madina Zongo Community and Madina market to be precise as reported earlier.
This year, Victoria Michaels substituted the Fashion Connect Africa show that took place in 2019, December 30th, in order to execute the nose mask project. The event was attended by many fashion industry players as well as celebrities.
There has been no mention what the future of Fashion Connect Africa will be as of yet with the exception of the just executed distribution of the nose masks which was heavily supported by Linfra.
Linfra delivers specialized solutions to the power, industrial and telecom sectors in the Middle East, Africa, and neighboring countries.
Since the company’s inception in Lebanon in 1993, Linfra has grown into a leading group, combining power expertise with telecom infrastructure specialization.
Reaching Out To The Safety of 1000s
Moments of sharing the nose masks and items turned out to beautiful and emotional experience over how the people in the market desperately wanted the thousands of nose masks and food items being distributed.
The kind gesture is part of an ongoing project of Fashion Connect Africa Limited which aims to educate, empower and ensure individuals and families in underserved communities can protect themselves against COVID – 19 through the use of the face masks, hence, initiating the One Million Facemask Project.
The One Million Facemask Project is open to welcome more donations and contributions to support the agenda to save more lives from the deadly Corona Virus Pandemic. See the post below for more details.
UPCOMING TOP EVENTS!
Ghana’s leading fashion event Accra Fashion Week is scheduled for 7-11 December 2022 following their 5th-year celebration last year in 2021. Accra Fashion Week is a platform for African designers that can be compared to fashion weeks across the major capitals. It aims to fill the void which sees tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an operating fashion infrastructure.
The epic event took place at Ghana Dubai in Accra, and saw models march down the steps from the Kwame Nkrumah Monument whilst being followed by a spotlight, before circulating the central fountains. Memories of the exciting night still give chills as guests revisit the experience on youtube.
However, rest assured that 2022 is going to be even more exciting with greater performances and an upgraded designer collection. FashionGHANA.com is sure to bring you the exclusives we did on www.FashionGHANA.com/TV. All last year’s shows are available to watch on youtube. Designer’s registration is ongoing on the AccraFashionWeek.org website.
As we embark on another year of celebrating African culture, our theme for 2022 is “Afrofuturism.” This term was created to explore the developing intersection of cultural aesthetic, philosophy of science, and philosophy of history as it relates to the African Diaspora. During this year’s events, Afrochella will bring “Afrofuturism” to life through fashion, food, art and music. In 2019, the African Diaspora returned home to the continent for the “Year of Return.” This year, we will explore the endless possibilities of what “Afrofuturism” could look like in 2022 and beyond.
