Astute male fashion designer, Henry Kwaku Ghartey, popularly known as JayRay [Ghartey] has won the Male Designer Award at the Entertainment Achievement Awards hosted by Citi FM and Citi TV.
This was his first ever award since JayRay launched his brand into the fashion market in 2016 and has built a great brand locally and internationally since then. The talented designer was placed in a category where he faced the likes of Atto Tetteh, Afriken by Nana, Quophi Akotuah, Yartel GH, Brommon Suits, and Abrantie the Gentleman.
On accepting the award, Jay Ray Ghartey got down on both knees as seen below.
JayRay clothes reputable personalities such as Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM, Gospel musicians, Sonnie Badu and Joe Mettle, Ghanaian screen favourite, Adjetey Anang among others.
The other winners on the night include MOD.HQ as Female Designer of the Year, Nana Kwesi Asare Boateng as Model of the Year, and Focus and Blur as the Best Photographer of the Year, amongst others.
