James Earl Jones, the iconic voice of Darth Vader and one of America’s most versatile actors, has passed away at the age of 92. Born on January 17, 1931, Jones became a towering figure in the world of stage and screen, earning him a place among the greats. His deep, unmistakable voice will forever be remembered for lending gravitas to countless roles, including his legendary performance as the voice of the infamous Sith Lord in *Star Wars*.

Jones’ career was glittered with accolades, picking up three Tony Awards, two Emmys, and a Grammy. The accolades didn’t stop there—he was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1985 and honored with the National Medal of Arts in 1992, the Kennedy Center Honor in 2002, and a well-deserved Honorary Academy Award in 2011.
