The Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW) has become one of the most awaited fashion events in Africa, leading South African photographer Simon Deiner has said.
Speaking on the set standards for the forthcoming ZFW 2013, the photographer said the Zimbabwe Fashion Week needs a team of hard-working people who know how to deliver maximum from the given opportunities to make it a success.
Mr. Deiner added that Zimbabwe has produced some great designers in the past and the quality of designs has improved with every fashion show held in the recent years, reported The Herald.
Simon Deiner is the producer of Creative Designs with an experience of working with various fashion shows in Africa, including the Namibia Fashion Week, the Angola Fashion Week, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week franchise and the Cameroon Fashion Week.
Recently, the ZFW held castings for its fourth edition, which saw participation of many aspiring models from all regions of Africa, who are keen to walk on the ZFW ramp.
The founder and executive director of ZFW, Priscilla Chigariro-Gessen, said that many top models will be participating in the event, and great efforts will be made to raise the standards of the show.
The fourth edition of the Zimbabwe Fashion Week will have shows and events based on the theme ‘Fashion Through the Ages’, and will be held from August 29-31, 2013, in the capital Harare.
Last edition of ZFW had ‘Breaking Barriers’ as its theme, while the 2011 edition focused on ‘Think Green’ concept.
