#OOTD: Queen Of Afrobeats Yemi Alade Proves She’s Still The Queen Of African Fashion As She Flaunts Her All-Wax Rockstar Suit

Yemi Alade has been off our radar for a while, and it seems the afrobeats industry is increasingly controlled by the same entities that filled RnB and rap music with garbage. Hence, we are seeing more of the scantily clad performers such as Ayra Star and Tyla. In fact, it was the weariness of these artists that prompted us to check up on Yemi.

According to the singer in a recent interview, “Engaging in relationships with men was like a bridge I had to cross to access certain platforms, secure deals, and even win awards. When I made the decision never to engage in such activities for personal gain, many opportunities were automatically blocked for me.”

Hence, it is always beneficial to keep up with your favorite fashionistas and musicians, even when you do not hear from them. With that said, upon doing so, we noticed that Yemi is still at the top of her game with vibrant music and continuing to fly the flag as the Queen of African fashion.

Her latest ensemble features African wax print bell-bottom trousers paired with a matching crop jacket. The outfit was curated by designer Shitta Athena Prisca of FabStyle 101, the fashion brand responsible for many of Yemi Alade’s unique looks.
