Speaking to NewsDay, spokesperson for the annual fashion extravaganza Tinopona Katsande said the six minutes video edits would run on all social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and the Zimbabwe Fashion Week website. “After a lot of requests for some models and the designers by some people who missed this year’s edition of the Zimbabwe Fashion Week we thought it would be wise to launch these episodes starting with highlights from the different runway shows from the 2014 event,” More Articles You Would Love Nigeria’s Maki Oh Presents The Look Book For Its Spring/Summer 2017 Collection Are You Bored Of Your Denim Combo? These Seven Styling Tips Would Help Katsande said, “We even realised that there was need for continuity in the industry from one ZFW edition to the next. The new shows will premiere every Tuesday. The videos will also profile participating designers and models as well as acknowledging all sponsors who contributed in the production of the show.” Katsande said the episodes were being edited by their creative team led by Priscilla Chigariro, who is the executive producer of the show. “These videos will help to market both local designers and models on the international fashion platform,” she said. This year’s edition of the ZFW was attended by international designers, among them Leigh Schubert and Thula Sindi both from South Africa, Durban-based Zimbabwean Thembani Mubochwa, Mustafa Hassanali from Tanzania, Chisome Lombe from the Zambia, Jose Rui Lopes from Angola and Rahima Mohamed from United Kingdom. Local designers who were part of the event included Sarudzai Murungu, Tapfumanei Munenge, Nompumelelo Marilyn, Bridget Pisirai and Natsai Mujuru, among others. Models to have come out of previous editions of ZFW are Adrian Green, Arnold Nyangoni, Fisher Masango, Lovemore Zambezi, Tholakele Dhlamini and Clare Bennett, among others.
