Ecowas Fashion Week is in it’s 2nd season, the maiden edition took place at Oriental Hotel, Lagos NIGERIA. Several designers flew in from various countries of the world to come and showcase and exhibit at the fashion week. This year edition is set to break records as several designers will be showcasing from various parts of the world.
Ecowas Fashion Week was designed to hold in various Ecowas Countries which is in line with the purpose of promoting unity among the countries and the world in general. ECOWAS is celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary this year and it is such an opportunity for the beautiful Republic of Benin to host the event at one of the most beautiful venue in the country, Cotonou, Republic of Benin.

Habits is a popular South African Fashion label which holds a bi-annual trunk show in JHB for the benefit of all loyal Gauteng customers. The trips usually take place around April and September where they bring you the latest in our new season ranges.
Each year they pack as much as humanly possible into our trunks and sell for 1½ DAYS ONLY. It’s chaotic and fun and definitely not to be missed!
On Gambia Fashion Movement comes under the designer brand Tara Designs. The purpose of this subdivision is to build awareness, momentum and understanding of this vast growing fashion industry, community leaders, created consensus around high priority skill needs in our community. It has been designed to increase awareness among stakeholders about the roles of tourism, education and finance in meeting the fashion industry`s community needs and discuss potential implications and collaborations for many of our institutions in both the private and public sector.

African Fashion and Design Week™(AFDW) 2015 under the theme “Our Heritage Our Pride”, will feature collections from leading established and emerging African designers, trade exhibition, annual African Icon of Hope Awards, which will acknowledge the Continent’s top designers.
AFDW as part of its commitment will focus for 2015 – to provide more retail access for designers to consumers globally, to provide platforms for African Fashion industry networking and celebrate each other.

The Angola Fashion Award was officially launched last Saturday in Luanda, at a ceremony attended by designers and models. The finale is to be held every year in the month of September, and the show will award 32 categories which has been announced on their facebook.
Lopes Carlos, one of the promoters of the initiative, stated at a press conference that the idea is to distinguish persons and institutions that stand out in the fashion business.
So far, the Angola Fashion Week is the principal fashion event in Angola, but it also acknowledges musicians, television and radio presenters.
